Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated with the concept of
monsters and how they are feared, worshipped or sometimes accepted. Since most materialized monsters are preserved in celluloid, I experimented with model making and began working in the film industry in special effects. Born in Colorado, I have traveled the cultural landscape of America working as an artist in New Mexico, New Orleans, New York, and California. I explored creature creation and was driven to pursue my own artistic direction instead of assisting in designing other people's visions. I finally finished my undergraduate work at the San Francisco State University and am currently working on completing my Masters of Fine Art at the Rhode Island School of Design. I am still pursing Cultural monsters in my work, and many of my very own.
